Tamaki Hiroshi, Kawaguchi Haruna, and Shison Jun among other cast members reprise their roles in the live-action movie adaptation of The Way of the Househusband. They previously starred in its live-action series version that aired from October 11 to December 13, 2020. The drama was received well by many for remaining true to the manga while adding new elements that only complement the story. Based on the webcomic series written and illustrated by Oono Kousuke, The Way of the Househusband follows Tatsu (Tamaki Hiroshi), known as a legendary yakuza once in his life but is now a family man and diligent househusband. Tatsu has various household chores that he manages hilariously every day. Kawaguchi Haruna plays Miku, Tatsu's wife, while Shison Jun stars as Masa, one of the members of Tatsu's old yakuza gang.
Directed by Ruto Toichiro (Komi Can't Communicate, Ossan's Love), who also directed the series, The Way of the Househusband live-action movie will premiere in Japanese theaters in the summer of 2022.
