It all starts with an eraser that was taken out of context.
Aoki Sota borrows an eraser from his crush, Hashimoto Mio. The letters 'Ida♡' that were written on it do not go unnoticed by him, which heavily suggests that Hashimoto has a crush on their classmate, Ida. Aoki drops the same eraser and gets picked up by Ida Kosuke, the guy in question. Ida deduces that Aoki might have a crush on him.
Kieta Hatsukoi is based on the manga of the same name written by Hinekure Wataru and illustrated by Aruko, published in 2019 by Shueisha in Bessatsu Margaret. It stars Naniwa Danshi's Michieda Shunsuke as Aoki Sota, Snowman's Meguro Ren as Ida Kosuke, Fukumoto Riko as Hashimoto, and Suzuki Jin as Hayato Aida among others.
Based on its official Twitter account linked by TV Asahi, most of the comments from the viewers said that the first episode was very cute and funny, and they are already looking forward to the next episode.
