Imada Mio, other actors bag the Newcomer of the Year Award at the 45th Japan Academy Film Prize
Stars Imada Mio, Yoshikawa Ai, and Isomura Hayato shine among the receivers of the Newcomer of the Year award in the 45th Japan Academy Film Prize for their performance in live-action adaptations and regular films. Imada Mio represents Tokyo Revengers, having played the character Tachibana Hinata alongside popular lead actors Kitamura Takumi, Yoshizawa Ryo, and Yamada Yuki. Actress Yoshikawa Ai bags the Newcomer of the Year for her role as Ishimori Uka in Honey Lemon Soda live-action movie, while Isomura Hayato stands out as he receives the award for two films: the generational yakuza film A Family and the lighthearted movie What Did You Eat Yesterday? for his portrayal of Kimura Tsubasa and Inoue Wataru respectively. Aside from these works, Isomura is also one of the supporting cast for the 2021 blockbuster film Tokyo Revengers.
