Narita Ryo secures his first acting role for 2022 in the suspense live-action series Touboui F based on the manga of the same name. Touboui F (English title: The Fugitive Doctor F) is the story of a talented neurosurgeon who has to go on the run for being wrongly suspected of his lover's murder. He tries to uncover the truth behind her death while still practicing as an underground doctor. Narita is the manga writer's personal favorite among actors, making him look forward to seeing his work live on television with much excitement.

Written by Izuki Keigo and illustrated by Sato Makoto, the manga Touboui F was published by Akita Shoten from 2007 to 2008 in Play Comic. Its three volumes of tankobon can only be accessed digitally.

The live-action series will be directed by accomplished directors Sato Toya and Otani Taro, both of whom worked together in the live-action adaptation of the Gokusen franchise. Touboui F will be broadcast on NTV in January 2022.
