Various scenes from 'Bungo Stray Dogs: BEAST' live-action film unveiled

Seven exciting scenes from the cross-genre live-action movie adaptation Bungo Stray Dogs: BEAST have been revealed. The film is adapted from Asagiri Kafka's light novel of the same title. The plot is set in a parallel world where Port Mafia's Akutagawa Ryūnosuke (Hashimoto Shohei) first joins the Armed Detective Society. On a similar note, Nakajima Atsushi (Torigoe Yuki) is now Port Mafia's fearsome White Reaper. They come across each other as Akutagawa aims to rescue his sister. The complete novel was released on April 1, 2019.

The most notable scene was the seemingly heated encounter where Akutagawa grabs Atsushi's collar. Some other scenes include Oda Sakunosuke (Taniguchi Masashi) and Sakaguchi Ango's (Araki Hirofumi) car rendezvous, Atsushi slumped down on the floor with the Director (Minami Keisuke) looking down at him, and more intriguing shots.

Bungo Stray Dogs: BEAST is directed by Sakamoto Koichi (009-1: The End of the Beginning, Power Rangers franchise). Screenwriting is by the light novel's very own, Asagiri Kafka. The film is set to release on January 7, 2022.
