The live-action series Shijuu Kara is TV Tokyo's 2022 winter drama adapted from the manga of the same name written by Sakai Eri in 2019. Unpopular manga artist Watanuki Shinobu (Yamaguchi Sayaka) has been living together with her husband of 15 years and a son in junior high. With her career at a standstill, she has decided to finally bow out until one of her past works becomes an overnight sensation. Her renewed creativity urges her to create new work and hire assistants for it, one of which is 22-year-old Tachibana Chiaki whom she gets attracted to.

Also 40 years of age, actress Yamaguchi Sayaka comments that she has no husband and children, but in terms of her career, it was a blessing to star in her very first drama series when she was already in her 30s, which is one of the similarities between her and the character she is playing. Yamaguchi says that Shinobu is a character that is enduring of everyday life struggles but still has a youthful energy. Her approach in portraying Shinobu is to not follow the original characterization too much to show the duality of both her anxiety and delight in finding another chance at love despite the 18-year age difference. Yamaguchi personally finds the age gap unrealistic but also reveals that the story may not be smooth-sailing as expected in usual love affairs.

Shijuu Kara will air at 00:12 in January 2022 on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting.
